Geraldton Print Group’s work at Geraldton Regional Library
2nd Oct 2022
DADAA’s Geraldton Print Group is celebrating its 7th year!
Supported by Act Belong Commit, these free weekly workshops build participants’ printmaking skills and the group works collaboratively to produce large print-based works. Over the years they’ve held three exhibitions locally, as well as exhibited a large collaborative woodblock print in Cairns in 2018.
Last year the class worked together for about 5 weeks to plan, design, experiment and, finally, produce a large monotype print: Paths to Friendship, monotype print, 140 x 90 cm (paper size). The group decided to enter the print into the 2022 Morawa Art Prize.
DADAA thanks Red Dust Holdings for generously sponsoring the framing, completed by Karl Monaghan Photography and special thanks also to CT Hypnotherapy for sponsoring additional costs. Thanks also goes to the Geraldton Cultural Trust, The City of Greater Geraldton, and Geraldton Regional Library for their ongoing support.
The print is proudly on display at the Geraldton Regional Library for the next few months.
The Geraldton Print Group works out of the Coach Studio at the Geraldton Cultural Trust where there are two big presses and a large studio space. To find out more about the group, contact DADAA via info@dadaa.org.au
