FREE STATE ARTS AND HEALTH (SOUTH AFRICA)
Designed to transfer DADAA’s arts and disability practice and IP to townships in South Africa through participatory CACD programs and artsworker exchange. After initial consultation in 2015, the Free State Arts and Health project was launched. 2017 saw on-the-ground artsworker exchange programs made possible with additional funding from the Mellon Foundation and continued involvement with the Vry Festival. This year has embarked on an arts and health programs incorporating print-making, poetry, land art and public art, and further artist exchanges. The program has a significant public health focus that addresses major public health issues facing local communities.
