Hatched: National Graduate Show 2022 presents the work of leading emerging artists recently graduated from art schools across the nation. The artists exhibiting as part of Hatched present a tantalising glimpse into the diverse and exciting practices of arts graduates in Australia, whose unique visions of the future are both urgent and compelling.

The work of 24 recent visual arts graduates from across Australia will take over the PICA galleries this July, for the Hatched National Graduate Show 2020. This exhibition is a key platform for PICA’s ongoing commitment to supporting the careers of Australia’s most promising emerging artists.
From questions of identity, political protest, and media consumption, the innovative and exciting range of practices presented in Hatched tell the story of contemporary Australian culture whilst showcasing the future directions of arts practice.

The Audio Described Tactile Tour will enhance the exhibition for people who are blind or vision impaired through informed discussion and touch. An Audio Describer will also deliver a verbal description of the visual elements of the artwork.
