Interest in working with different textiles is growing and we have created more opportunity for you to develop skills in this area. Our workshops are designed so that you can pursue any interest you have within a small group setting. Workshops are suited to both beginner and intermediate artists, and 1:1 mentorships with professional artists can also be arranged.

Our Fremantle hub has two sewing machines that can be used to create textile-based works. The focus of our Fremantle program is art-based sewing, especially free-stitch embroidery. Options might expand during 2019 once studio renovations have been completed.

Workshops in Midland include felting, shibori dying, basic sewing, fabric-based jewellery and soft sculpture, with opportunities for exhibiting work during the year.
