AN/OTHER Film Festival puts people with disability at the centre of storytelling and filmmaking.
Encompassing a program of film screenings and conversations, AN/OTHER Film Festival 2026 presents diverse stories and perspectives from around the globe.
The Festival has a special screening as part of 10 Nights in Port at Victoria Hall, Fremantle, and then moves to the DADAA Theatre for the main program which is shaped around three themes: Colour and Perspective, Relationships Love Work, and Performance and Protest.
All films are audio described and captioned.

Colour and Perspective
Literal and figurative colours; lived experiences that colour our perspectives on the world.
Relationships Love Work
Exploring relationships of all kinds – romantic, platonic, support-based and work-related; good and bad; shaped by our own preferences or imposed on us by outside forces.
Performance and Protest
Disabled artists putting themselves out there and being visible is in itself a political act closely related to public protest; a performance which draws attention to inequality and the need for change.
Special screening at 10 Nights in Port
Tuesday, 25 August, 6pm – 7.30pm
Victoria Hall, Fremantle
Presented as part of 10 Nights in Port, this special screening explores the theme of Huddle through stories of belonging, resilience and connection. Featuring films by and about people with disability from Fremantle and across Australia, the program celebrates the people and places that offer refuge, understanding and strength, while inviting audiences to see the world through fresh perspectives.
