As the 2025 AWESOME Festival Artist in Residence, DADAA Midland Studio artist Harvey Arnephie-Cook will be creating and presenting new works in the Studio Underground Foyer at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia.
Harvey is a 23-year-old Perth-based artist whose practice spans ceramics and digital media. A self-taught artist, he has been drawing since childhood and continues to explore storytelling through bold visuals inspired by anime, mythology, folklore, and comic books.
Active in the arts community, Harvey has collaborated on character design and concept art for the podcast After Life. Looking ahead, he hopes to pursue a career in animation and one day create his own comic book. His work combines narrative, emotion, and visual invention, marking him as a distinctive new voice in contemporary art.
Harvey’s hand-built ceramic work is also display at the DADAA Fremantle Gallery in Beyond the Wheel 25 September — 8 October
