DADAA is pleased to present the 2018 In Focus exhibition at Midland Junction Arts Centre. Featuring the work of over 100 artists, In Focus showcases artists from DADAA art studios connected to the Fremantle and Midland hubs and Hamersley studio.

Curated by participating artists in collaboration with DADAA arts workers, this annual diverse exhibition involves a broad range of artists from inspired beginners to experienced creatives. This year, DADAA artists are diverging from the traditional concept of the canvas and have transformed a collection of different objects – such as teaspoons, clay, felt, paperbark and even skate decks – to create new versions of the working surface to communicate their artistic ideas. There are also two large-scale collaborative works on show curated by DADAA artists in partnership with Fibrant’s Joyce Tasma and DADAA’s Dimity Gregson.

Join us for the opening on Friday 5 April 2018, 4.30 – 6pm.

Exhibition runs from 6 – 20 April 2018.

Also check out the In Focus workshops facilitated by Lex Randolf and Dimity Gregson on 18 and 20 April.

DADAA offers targeted arts and cultural programs that include a broad range of traditional and new media projects in almost 50 Western Australian communities.
