about the show

Fuego Carnal has won multiple awards, a list of five-star reviews and the hearts of the people that have flocked to see it. 2018 saw a sell out season for this high-octane spectacle of “wild stunts, exotic beats… mesmerising flames… packed full of magical jaw-dropping moments, fuelled by sensual choreography and a wicked sense of humour.

“Fringe at its finest,” The Adelaidian, 2018.

Fuego Carnal is presented by Dream State Entertainment (AKA Dream State Circus), which has brought light to the eyes and smiles to countless faces. Husband and wife team Jacob and Sophie McGrath created Dream State Entertainment in 2000, born out of a love and obsession, of the accessible, non-discriminative art of street performance and improvisational comedy.

Nineteen huge years later, over 3900 performances, in almost 40 countries, their art has taken them to some of the biggest festivals on the planet including Glastonbury, Edinburgh, Toronto, and Adelaide many gaining them international awards and recognition.

Skyworks 2019: Audio Described Event

We’re sorry but this event is now fully booked.

DADAA will be at Skyworks 2019 for the third year in a row. We will be providing an Audio Described service for people who are blind or vision-impaired. Audio Description will be provided live, as the action happens.

An Auslan Interpreter service will also be offered.

We will be in a grassed area right on the foreshore about 800 metres from Elizabeth Quay Train Station and 350 metres from the Bell Tower. As this is a large public event, we will be located in a cordoned-off area, making this a comfortable space for people with disability, including for children with ASD and their families. The City of Perth also has a quiet space nearby for families with children with autism needing respite. DADAA will manage arts activities in these quiet zones.

To participate in the Audio Description service, you will need to provide your own earphones to connect to DADAA’s audio description unit.

Once booked, you will not need to arrive early to secure your spot, as it will be held for you.

Enjoy the entertainment and food at Langley Park, only 200 metres from the Audio Described viewing area, before joining us for the show.

Bring a rug or a chair, a picnic or food from one of the many food stalls.
